Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - Everything We Know So Far
| Nov 19, 2017 | By: FEARIUN
Jurassic World was a success, and obviously that it would spawn a sequel.
It releases next year, trailer in December
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will release sometime in the summer of 2018, but when the trailer drops we will most likely see a release date. However, since the trailer is going to arrive in December, we will know even more details about the movie then. There is a June 7 Release rumored, but we will have to see the trailer to get more info about this. The exact online debut date for the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer remains unknown, but it should arrive no later than December 13th with Star Wars The Last Jedi movie screening.
Promotional photo showcasing a little girl
We see a lot of different dinosaur species as well as a girl. It’s important to note that the girl named Lucy will be one of the central characters. No other details are known here, outside of the fact that the girl is 9 years old.
Dinosaurs get weapons rumor
As you can imagine, it’s a very interesting thing to have, and the best part is that we will see some really good and fun weapon ideas. Whether they will be a pleasure to see or not, that’s hard to say. But yes, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is indeed set to bring in front some really interesting action if dinos get weapons.
Some of the main cast are coming back
Well, this was a no-brainer. Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt will coming back. Apparently, Geraldine Chapman will join the cast too. But a really interesting is that Jeff Goldbloom is set to reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm in the sequel too, and that could be an interesting experience. The one actor who seems we won’t get back will be Jake Johnson, but maybe this does make sense for the story, it’s still early days for now!
The director will be back, at least in some capacity
After Colin Trevorrow stepped away from the Star Wars Episode 9, it’s safe to say that he will be more involved in the new movie than we originally expected. It’s a very interesting thing to keep in mind and the best part is that it does tend to show some cool new set pieces and plenty of action, which the director is known for.
A massive budget
The budget for this movie is going to be around $260 million. That’s a ton of money, and even if this is just a rumor, we do know that all the CGI and actors will cost a pretty penny. The first movie did make $1.67 billion, so obviously there are plenty of money to be spent on the sequel.
Whether the sequel will make similar amounts of money or not, that remains to be seen. But it goes to show that this type of movie can make the big bucks, it all comes down to the creators and writers to see where they can go with the story. Obviously, there are some huge costs to be involved in making this movie, but the outcome can be more than amazing in the long run.
PG-13 seems to be this rating. Even if this movie would definitely go with an R rating, but then again, this is a movie that has to appeal to kids too. There’s not a lot of descriptive violence or gore here, so you have to expect such a rating. It’s a nice idea for sure, and one that does go to show the type of value you can expect from something like this. It’s a fair rating for sure, and in the end, it’s set to be a movie for the entire family, so that’s completely understandable.
Aside from the previous director, you also have writer Derek Connolly, and he does have a ton of experience in regards to monster adventures. He wrote the latest Kong movie, so there’s a lot of value he can bring to the table with this new movie.
There are still plenty of uncertain things at this time when it comes to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. But once the trailer drops in December, we are bound to know a lot more, at least what new dinosaurs we will have, the story that this movie focuses on and many other great details. Hopefully, we will have a really good action flick like the previous one was. We will see if this surpasses our expectations or not when the trailer drops next month. But yes, there’s a lot of justified hype around this, so hopefully we will have a lot of fun with this new entry in the series!
